Enter Into God's Rest

Keith Butler
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matt. 11:28 KJV).

There is a rest to the people of God. Oftentimes, I talk to people who are born again, are filled with the Holy Spirit, and who truly love God, but don't operate in the rest of God. Their life is still being dominated to the point of losing sleep.

They are dominated by fear and worry so much so that it affects their life and their interaction with others. The scripture tells us, however, that there remains a rest to the people of God.

Protected by Integrity

Bishop Keith A. Butler

But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation? Said he not unto me, She [is] my sister? and she, even she herself said, He [is] my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this. And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

Genesis 20:4-6

Joy in His Presence

Bishop Keith A. Butler

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10

Self-Medicate Through the Power of Laughter and Joy

Bishop Keith A. Butler

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22

The Word talks about reverential worship, and the same Word also talks about the joy and happiness of the worship of God. Both are required, and I've seen both waves of reverence and waves of laughter come on congregations by the Holy Ghost. Both are manifested because God is love, God is peace, God is light, and God is joy. He wants you to have joy.

Choose Life Over Tradition

Keith Butler
"Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life" (2 Cor. 3:6 KJV).

Where there is the letter of the law, there are religious traditions. And where there are religious traditions, there is bondage. Men's opinions come from religious tradition. And men's opinions always bind you instead of set you free. However, that which is of the Spirit produces life and freedom.

You Are Not Your Own

by Bishop Keith A. Butler

For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own .
Acts 20:27-28

God Will Provide

by Bishop Keith A. Butler
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Romans 13:14

Your Shepherd, Jesus, is not a last minute God. Before you were born, He had already set your table for you. There IS provision for you although you may not see it just yet. But notice, He did not say see it; He said believe it.
The world says, "Seeing is believing." However, God says, "Believing is seeing."
