"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them [the Words of God] not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.... Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life" (Prov. 4:20-21, 23).

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
(1 John 1:1)
The Word of God is alive. God has given us a written record of the things He has spoken to mankind, so we may know Him and have a relationship with Him. But is His Word just a letter printed on paper and left for us to figure out what it means?
No, God's Word is actually God Himself. That means that everything we read in the Word of God, God stands behind and is ready to perform today.

"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life."
(John 6:63 NASB)
Do you know that your flesh does not accomplish or benefit anything from a spiritual viewpoint? Naturally speaking, our flesh can push and strive, groan and sacrifice to get ahead in the eyes of men. But when God considers those results He will say that it adds up to nothing. It is living by the Spirit of God in our spirit man that puts us over.
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.
– 2 Peter 1:19
Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
– John 4:14
Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Gentleness. Goodness. Faith. Meekness. Temperance. Powerful forces the Bible calls the fruit of the Spirit. They're the character traits of God Himself and when the Holy Spirit came to dwell in you, He brought them with Him, so they could become your character traits too.

" For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him" (2 Chron. 16:9).

Identify Your Obstacles
Choose you this day whom ye will serve.
– Joshua 24:15
Choosing to side with God's Word is a continual challenge. It's not some- thing you do just once. It's a process of choosing to believe and act upon the Word of God over and over in every circumstance.
"That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us" (Heb. 6:18).
Faith has never changed. God has never changed. The only ones who need to do some changing are you and me. We need to make some adjustments.
First, we need to get off our religion and get on the Word of God. We need to find out what God has provided and walk in it in an indelible manner.
